A Bed Is the Difference
Caseworkers across our community are asking ECHO for beds faster than we can provide them. For every child waiting, a bed is the difference between separation and stability.
A grandparent says yes to a grandchild on a day’s notice.
A family that has been without a home turns the key on an apartment with empty rooms.
A mother moves her children somewhere safe and starts over.
A child comes home to stay.
Each of them needs the same simple thing: a safe place to lie down at night.
This past year we've seen a 3x increase in requests for beds. We don’t want any child to wait for a place to sleep. So this Giving Tuesday, we’re asking our community to help provide 144 beds, twelve every month for the next year, so that when a caseworker calls, we can be sure a child sleeps safe tonight.
$250 gives one child a bed of their own: frame, mattress, mattress cover, pillow, and two sets of bedding, one on the bed and one in the wash. You can cover the cost of the complete bundle or any part of it.
